As in similar games, as you progress, you can unlock special abilities. The gameplay in Smurfs Bubble Story isn't especially original, so if you've played any other bubble shooter with colorful balls, you'll automatically know what to do. It's the same thing as always you know what to do. Your objective is to pop all the colorful balls by shooting other colorful balls from the bottom of the screen. Smurfs Bubble Story is a version of the classic game Puzzle Bobble featuring the friendly Smurfs.
